Granting Rights to a User

Granting rights to users is similar to granting Primary Administrator rights except that you log in as a user who has Primary Administrator rights instead of as root. See “Granting Primary Administrator Rights” for illustrations of the screens.

Use the following steps to grant rights to a user.

1.
From the CDE Applications menu, open the Application Manager. The Application Manager window is opened.
2.
Double-click on the Solaris Management Console icon. The Solaris Management Console window is displayed.
3.
Click on the control to the left of the System Configuration item in the navigation pane. The Users tool is displayed.
4.
Double-click on the Users icon. The Users Login window is displayed.
