WebNFS Access

Starting with the Solaris 2.6 release, by default, all file systems available for NFS mounting are automatically available for WebNFS access. The only times you need to explicitly enable WebNFS access is on servers that do not already enable NFS mounting, when you want to reset the -public file handle—which, by default points to the root file system, or when the -index option is required.

Use the following steps to enable WebNFS access.

1.
Become superuser.
2.
Edit the /etc/dfs/dfstab file and add one entry for each file system by using the -public option. The -index option in the following example is optional. 
								share -F nfs -o ro,public,index=index.html /export/ftp
