The WebNFS Service

WebNFS provides a standard file system for the Internet, enabling groups of people to collaborate on a document over the Internet or within the corporate intranet. With WebNFS, users can read and write to Web documents instead of simply viewing them.

Without WebNFS, most users access Web data through a browser and switch tasks and cut and paste to incorporate Web data into their local applications. With WebNFS, users can Web-enable any desktop application by providing file access methods that are compatible with the way applications now access local disks.
