Solaris Fingerprint Database (sfpDB)

This free Sun service, available online at sunsolve.sun.com, lets anyone verify the integrity of files distributed with the Solaris operating environment, Solaris patches, and other Sun software products. You can use the Solaris Fingerprint Database to ascertain that a particular file is the original file supplied by Sun Microsystems and has not been altered or substituted in any way (such as when the original program is replaced by a malicious piece of software—notable examples being Trojans and back doors).
