SUNSCREEN 3.1 LITE IS A STATEFUL advanced packet-filtering firewall for Solaris systems. It is available from Sun Microsystems free of charge and may be downloaded directly from www.sun.com. The following features are present in SunScreen 3.1 Lite:

  • Stateful packet filtering

  • Remote administration

  • VPN (Virtual Private Networking) support

  • SKIP (Simple Key management for Internet Protocol) support

However, it does not include some of the features provided with the full SunScreen 3.1 product:

  • High availability

  • Stealth mode

  • Proxies

  • Support for more than two interfaces

  • Support for more than two NAT rules

  • Time-of-day awareness ...
