We have seen how easy it is to install and operate a SOHO LAN. What will the future bring? Sharing computer resources and Internet access in today's home is as important as everyone in today's home having his or her own PC or PCs. With PCs that can surf the Web dropping in price to around $500, who wants to share his or her PC with anyone? Kids need them for school. We can now use voice-to-text software to control our PCs. In the next several years this will become a standard PC feature. Since such voice recognition works best for individuals, and training of the PC is necessary to have voice recognition work most effectively, everyone will want his or her own non-shared PC.
