Beginning with an introduction to the key terms and the basic process of creating a suite of tests for execution, the chapter explores the three categories of test case design techniques: specification-based, structure-based and experience-based. In each case specific techniques are explained and examples are given of their use. A final section on the selection of techniques completes the chapter.
