Chapter NineteenUsing a Multi-Tier Distributor

For many applications, especially ones with complex service flows and process-intensive services, you’ll need a Multi-Tier Distributor Pattern. When you use this pattern, one distributor routes requests to one or more remote distributors on different servers in the network, and you can distribute processing far more effectively than you can within the confines of a single machine. You can use a Multi-Tier Distributor for many types of services, including high-volume transactions, calculation-intensive applications, and long-running batch processes.
