PATTERN: ASK FOR HELP

PROBLEM

You act as if help wouldn't help.

Three behaviors characterize the best teams:

  • They routinely ask for help.

  • They establish and maintain high levels of interpersonal connection among their members.

  • They live in a state of SharedVision.

The most critical of these behaviors is asking for help. Indeed, this act catalyzes connection and SharedVision. Failing to ask for help—failing to continuously ask for help—is at least a waste of potential.
