PROBLEM

You don't know what you want.

Most of the time, you are unaware of what you want.[1] Your lack of awareness does not eliminate your wants; it prevents you from placing your intentions where they can do you the most good. You will still generally decide in ways that move you somewhat closer to what you want. But when you're not conscious of all the reasons behind your choices, you reduce by some amount your chances of satisfaction.
