Appendix E Subjective Usability Scales for Software (SUSS)
The Subjective Usability Scales for Software (SUSS) instrument, originally devised for our research on usability metrics, has been used by a number of clients and students to evaluate user interface designs. The sample form that follows is a template for the questionnaire that may be copied freely.
To turn the SUSS template into a workable questionnaire, the placeholder at the top must be replaced by a sketch, screen shot, or other representation of the part of a user interface being evaluated. A series of four representative task scenarios must be devised and incorporated into questions 6 through 9.
