There are three key focus areas for the Endgame Release Framework:

• historical notes

• plan details

• endgame flow

I outline guidelines for constructing these, in the sections that follow.

Historical Notes

• Capture the historical defect trends to be used in determining planning levels, such as

• defects found per testing cycle

• defects repaired per testing cycle

• defect trend characteristics (open/closed, find/fix, and overall repair capabilities)

• Determine the number of weeks it took to achieve code freeze for similarly sized projects.
