7.1 Introduction

Google is one of the most successful Internet companies of this century. Google’s search engine technology and advertising products have provided immense financial success. The networks and the data centers used as a part of their business are critical to the company’s success. With deep financial resources, Google can invest in any networking technology available or on the horizon to optimize network performance.
