Chapter 21

Ten Useful Metrics Services

In This Chapter

arrow Finding out which services combine with tools or apps for greater metrics coverage

The difference between a service and a tool is the personal involvement that working with a service brings (usually a company that offers hands-on help with metrics or a company that also has a tool so you get the best of both worlds).

Tools are useful for the DIY approach or for automating metrics. Services work with you to figure out what metrics you need, print reports and white papers that the public can buy to educate themselves on metrics, or do your metrics analysis for you.

You can choose from hundreds of services. In this chapter, I’m simply highlighting the ones that have been around for a while — tested by time — or are well known for their expertise in the metrics field.
