The main reason to join Google+ is to interact with customers, clients, fans, and community members. Seemingly, Google+ has loyal members who prefer to interact on Google+ over other online communities. Therefore, you have the opportunity to reach entirely different groups of people than those on other social media networks.

On Google+, interaction occurs in Circles, which are user-created categories that hold friends, customers, clients, brands, and so on. For example, if someone follows your brand, he might add you to one of his personal Circles, which he might call something like “Brands I Like” or “Businesses I Follow.” However, as a brand, you don’t follow people the same way. You can’t add anyone to your Circles unless they circle you first. So promoting your Google+ page, letting people know you have an account, and asking friends and fans to add your brand to their Circles is imperative.
