10. Tying It All Together

Shot-putting a package caught on video. Misleading sign retweeted. Crotch shot tweeted. Robotic responses. Ignoring comments. All became social media meltdowns. Some got the expected reaction, but others were unexpected.

Social media is unpredictable. Social media is explosive. Social media often outpaces time itself. Social media can be risky for organizations. That shouldn’t stop your organization from participating in social media. Your organization can’t ignore social media because it is here to stay. And those participating on social media aren’t ignoring your organization.
