Knowing Where to Share Your Content

Quality websites or blogs constructed with interesting text, images, video, or audio content, will hold the visitor’s attention. The same is true for your connections on social networks. With all the quality subject matter free to read on the Internet, few people spend time on a site or page without substance. You must provide good content and share something that will catch a visitor’s eye.

If you don’t love or don’t have the time to write, you might be more comfortable making a video. A video doesn’t have to be any fancier than sitting in front of your computer’s webcam. (Later in the chapter, I give you tips on how to make your video clips look more professional.) If you’re not one for being filmed (I’m often in that category), a podcast might suit you just fine. Remember that you have options when it comes to posting.
