Preface

As a researcher in social sciences, I became interested in probing on how poverty can be eradicated. Thus, I was engaged in studying the poverty-eradication programs undertaken by the government of India, which constituted an important part of its programs for socio-economic development. I studied the government’s programs of poverty alleviation as it is widely believed that poverty alleviation is primarily the responsibility of the government.
