Building It

  1. Cut eleven 1 1/2″ lengths from your piece of wood; 9 of these will be the scoring tiles, and the other 2 are end pieces.

  2. Using a drill bit just a shade thicker than your coat hanger wire, drill a centered hole through each of your 9 tiles, 1/2″ from the bottom, as shown in Figure 6-3.

  3. Use this same bit to drill a centered hole halfway through each end piece, 3/4″ from the bottom (Figure 6-4).
