Looking forward, whatever the scale of the current backlash against offshoring, there is little doubt that offshoring itself will continue to grow. Given the caution among North American and European customers, offshore players based in locations such as India have responded by setting up local offices and presences in their key western markets, enabling their clients there to see programming and development going on onshore. They are also keen to stress that certain elements of projects will be handled within the client’s own onshore jurisdiction.
