Appendix III

Books for retailers

Decent books on retailing are few and far between, which is one of the reasons why I wrote this one. Of those rarities, the ones listed here are the best. Two of the titles are pretty hard to get hold of in the UK but are available at www.amazon.co.uk. Most bookshops may be able to order them for you too.

Visual Merchandising by Tony Morgan (Laurence King, 2016)

The most recent update keeps this book an essential read. It’s the one book on visual merchandising (windows, signage, fixtures and fittings if you’re wondering) that manages to be both incredibly strong on the loveliness of design and on the practical things that design is there to support. A really good companion to Smart Retail.
