One major point to remember when you write anything: spell check, spell check, spell check.

Although some people (prospects, clients, managers) aren’t picky about grammar and spelling, many are. You could ruin your first impression without ever shaking the prospect’s hand. Make sure that you are spelling Mr. Target’s name properly, that you spell all the words correctly, and that you’re using correct grammar.

The spell check is only as good as the human at the keyboard, so be sure to read your message carefully to make sure all the right words are there and are spelled correctly.
