Specializing in community and economic development at the local, national, and international levels, Suzanne W. Morse leads a distinguished career in the nonprofit and philanthropic worlds as well as in academia. She is associate professor of urban and regional planning in the School of Architecture at the University of Virginia, director of the Community Design and Research Center at UVA, and academic lead of the Appalachian Prosperity Project. In 1992 she was the founding president and chief executive officer of Civic Change, Inc. (formerly Pew Partnership for Civic Change).
