Finding Help If You Get Stuck

If you have no luck connecting to your interactive whiteboard because Windows wasn’t able to find the drivers, don’t give up! Try inserting your installation software CD in your CD drive, and let the wizard walk you through installing the drivers. Make sure you install all the drivers because the default installation settings don’t always include them. Then try again to install the USB HID. When you click Finish, you should see the Ready light turn red and then flash green, informing you that the controller is receiving power from the USB connection.

If you still aren’t getting a connection, find the manual that came with the interactive whiteboard and make sure everything is set up correctly. You can also contact SMART Technologies technical support (see Appendix A).

tip.eps If you find that the pointer isn’t aligned with your finger or pen, you need to orient your interactive whiteboard. Turn to Chapter 3 to find out all about orientation.

If your Ink Aware menus aren’t appearing, turn to Appendix B to troubleshoot.
