Preparing for a Bridgit Meeting

tip.eps When you decide to set up a collaborative meeting or deliver a lesson or training session, preparation is critical. Here are some tips you may find helpful:

check.png Contact all participants and give them the date and time of the teleconference, specifying the time zone. To avoid confusion, say something like, “The meeting will be held Wednesday, May 30 at 2 p.m. EST, 1 p.m. CST, 12 p.m. MST, 11 a.m. PST.”

check.png E-mail all participants information on how to join the meeting. If they can dial in, give them the access code. I always include my contact details just in case any participant has difficulties joining the meeting.

check.png Prepare an agenda and e-mail the agenda, along with any notes you may want to go over, so that participants can stay on track. Also, give participants time to prepare — you’ll avoid questions related to the purpose and/or structure of the meeting if they know it from the start.
