Adding Your Content to the Gallery

The Gallery tab is an excellent utility with thousands of resources free for you to use in your lessons or presentations. You can browse and search the Gallery and, with a few presses and drags, add content to your pages. (I discuss the Gallery in much more detail in Chapter 10.)

Another cool functionality the Gallery has built in is something called the My Content folder, which is a holding space for all the content that you find yourself using over and over. So, instead of looking for it in the main Gallery, you can move it to your own folder. You can import content from other files or the Internet into your My Content folder. You also can share the file with your colleagues and enable them to contribute to it.

Adding an object to the Gallery

Follow these steps to add an object to your My Content folder in the Gallery:

1. Press the Gallery tab, located on the left side of the Page Sorter (it looks like a framed picture).

The Gallery lists open with all the categories organized in the top half of the Page Sorter. The Gallery Essentials folder is selected by default. In the lower half, you see subfolders.

2. Select the My Content folder.

If you have something in the folder, the subcategories open, as shown in Figure 9-5.

3. Open the page with the object you want to place in your My Content folder, select the object, and drag it into your My Content folder (see Figure 9-6).
