Can I Lock the Interactive Whiteboard to Prevent Other People from Using My Computer?
You can lock your SMART Board interactive whiteboard in just a few simple steps:
1. Press the SMART Board icon in the Windows notification area (Windows) or Dock (Mac).
2. Choose Other SMART Tools⇒Lock All SMART Devices.
The All Devices Locked floating tool appears.
3. Click the All Devices Locked floating tool.
To unlock the interactive whiteboard, just click the All Devices Locked floating tool again.
This procedure varies a bit depending on what version of software you’re using. It’s pretty similar from one version to the next, but if these instructions aren’t quite right, try poking around the menus. If you can’t figure it out, go to your SMART software’s Help system and search for “locking your interactive product.”
You can’t use the interactive screen to unlock the devices. In order to unlock SMART devices, you must use a connected mouse to click the All Devices Locked floating tool.
