In this chapter, I assume that you know the capabilities of your interactive whiteboard and that you have access to one that is assembled, with the software installed and your computer connected to the Internet. This chapter asks you to roll up your sleeves and get ready for some serious hands-on practice. By the end of this chapter, you’ll have gained enough interest and confidence to begin using the interactive whiteboard in your classroom or meetings, and you won’t be satisfied until you experiment and discover all the functionalities and capabilities.

This chapter also shows you how to use your finger as a mouse and write on the interactive whiteboard, edit text, work with your Microsoft Office applications, add to your Office documents using SMART Ink or Ink Aware software, and access other resources.
