Joseph C. Liberti, Jr. joined Bellcore in Red Bank, New Jersey, after completing his Ph.D. degree from Virginia Tech in 1995. His areas of work include radio propagation measurements and modeling, development of space-time adaptive signal processing techniques for smart antennas, and system level techniques to exploit smart antennas and other emerging wireless technologies. He is the author of numerous technical papers related to radio propagation, smart antennas, and CDMA, and he holds three patents for inventions related to cellular system monitoring and signal processing techniques for combining signals in multi-antenna receivers.
