In this chapter, I have described the important first steps in planning a facilitated session. Asking relevant questions will help you decide on a plan of approach and will determine what, if anything, needs to be done by the participants prior to the facilitated session. You should verify that in advance of the day(s) of the meeting, members have received an agenda, know that you are going to facilitate, and have had an opportunity to provide input and/or ask questions.
