In the last chapter, I mentioned task and relationship needs and constraints. In this chapter, the dual roles of task and relationship appear again as two elements of the framework for facilitation. The development of the eight-element framework as well as the framework itself and suggestions for use are presented here. The framework is then used as a unifying theme for the remainder of the book.
