Types of Teams

Facilitators who have an interest and background in team training or consulting may work with a variety of types of work teams. This could involve training members on specific communication or relationship skills needed within the team or expanding the process focus to include work environment factors or performance issues.

•   Primary work teams consist of individuals who work together on a regular basis in a unit that generally consists of peers and a supervisor. This is the individual’s home base or primary place of work. The needs of these teams vary according to the tasks involved.
