spamd

The spamd program is a daemonized version of spamassassin. Therefore, several of the options are the same as spamassassin. The options for spamd are as follows, broken down by function:

General

-d, --daemonize Daemonize

Detach from terminal and run in the background.

-h, --help

Print usage message.

-r pidfile, --pidfile Write the process id to pidfile

The name for the spamd process id file.

-m num, --max-children num Allow maximum num children

Specifies the maximum number of children spamd can spawn. Note that this can vary, depending upon underlying Unix implementation. If the maximum is reached, additional incoming connections will be queued.
