Setting your Skype menus to a different language
Editing Skype menu items
Do you speak French, Swedish, or Turkish and want to set your Skype window menus in those languages? Skype supports 27 different languages and enables you not only to load any one of them but also edit individual menu items. You can add an entirely new language to your Skype window, or just make small changes.
Changing Skype to Your Language of Choice
Setting your language of choice is easy. With the Skype main window open, choose Tools
You can easily edit and alter all the menu items and text labels that appear in Skype to suit your own needs. Here's how:
Choose ToolsChange LanguageEdit Skype Language File.
You see a table with 2,600 editable Skype menu items (see Figure A-2).
To edit an item, select it by clicking in a field in the Current column.
For example, click the status alert Do Not Disturb. Change the text a little to Do Not Disturb Please. Click Apply so that Skype knows to apply your changes. Repeat this step for every Skype term you want to edit.
