About the Authors

Aidan Chopra has always had a thing for computers — his parents thoughtfully sent him to Apple camp instead of hockey lessons like every other 8-year-old in Montreal — but he learned to draft and build physical models the old-fashioned way, working for his architect father. In the twelve years since he graduated with a Master of Architecture degree from Rice University, he's done a lot of writing and lecturing about the way software is used in design. These days, Aidan is the co-founder and Chief Creative Officer at Bitsbox, where he's been since he left the SketchUp team in 2014. At Google, and then at Trimble, and now at Bitsbox, he works on ways to mediate between complexity and usability; he believes the best technology in the world isn't worth a darn if nobody can figure out how it works. Aidan lives in Boulder, Colorado, with his wife Sandra and their sons Chatham and Cedar.

Today, as the owner of Comet Dog Studio, Rebecca writes and edits technical content for several global brands, publishers, and organizations, including the SketchUp Help Center, which is the online help and support documentation for SketchUp, LayOut, 3D Warehouse, Extension ...
