The vantage point is the angle at which you draw the image and it becomes the viewer’s point of view. How you depict the scene has no bearing on how the characters are blocked. If people are standing side by side, you can choose an angle from the front, the back, the side, from a very high or low angle, from behind one person or even from the point of view of one of the characters, just to name a few.
Shows both of the characters’ faces, but a profile is more difficult to show detailed facial expressions. It also tends to appear more flat.
