Remember I said a light that’s placed low and below the face, looking up, can, depending on how it’s played, look ominous, dangerous, even creepy? Well, if you play it virtually alone, and hard, as a main light...well, it’s just a hop, skip, and a jump to flat-out wacko.

Young Michael Cali, who works with us at our studio, is a great guy and a very talented, burgeoning wedding shooter. And a Justin Bieber doppelganger. Seriously. I’ve been with him and women have called out, “Hey Justin!” to him, spontaneously. Then in a moment of what can only be described as youthful exuberance, they fling their brassieres at him and make all sorts of intriguing promises that sound quite athletic and exhausting.
