The Crazy and the LazyEliminate the Noise and Be a Solution Starter

Interacting with and working with people who cause more problems than they solve is just part of life. When I work with executives, I often set the tone by asking two simple questions. First I ask, “What are the characteristics of the best boss you have ever worked for?” People come up with characteristics such as: visionary, honest, fair, credible, etc. However, that question isn’t what people have the most energy for. Yes, people enjoy the conversation about learning how to be the best possible boss they can be, but it’s not as powerful as the second question: “What are the characteristics of the worst boss you have ever worked for?”
