2.2 DIRICHLET CONDITIONS

The following are the Dirichlet conditions:

  1. The function has a finite number of finite discontinuities in each period.
  2. The function has a finite number of maxima and minima in each period.
  3. The integral Image is finite.

The coefficients a0, an and bn will exist if, and only if, the integral Image exists.

The first two conditions are called strong Dirichlet conditions whereas the last one is called a weak Dirichlet condition.
