Appendix H. UltraCad Freeware Calculators
UltraCAD Design, Inc. has developed several freeware calculators for people to use. They are all located on the UltraCAD Web site at www.ultracad.com/calcs.
This appendix describes three of them that are useful for signal integrity purposes. As a general warning, be sure to read the help file associated with each calculator before using it.
Impedance (Ultraclc.Exe)
This tool, shown in Figure H-1, can be used to determine the trace width, thickness, or stackup dimensions required to hit an impedance target, or it calculates the trace impedance given the other parameters.
