Configuring the POP3 Connector

Post Office Protocol (POP3) is a universal e-mail account which most ISP (Internet Service Providers) uses. With a POP3 connection, you connect to your ISP's mail server and download your e-mail messages to your local hard drive stored in a personal folder (PST). Connecting with your POP3 connector is the most effective, and easy way to access e-mail from your ISP.

Set Up Your Internet Connector for the First Time

Click the Start button, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Office, and then click Microsoft Office Outlook 2003.
If necessary, type a name for your profile, and then click OK.
