Using Application Services

Application Services are a Mac OS X feature that lets you efficiently use content from one application to another application. It is based on an on-going project at Apple that would eventually give you the ability to use features between applications. For example, you could use the Services option to send selected text information in an e-mail, or use the spell-checker in MS Word to check the spelling of a document created in TextEdit. Unfortunately, it's still a work in progress, so when you select the Services option most of the choices are dimmed out. In fact, it won't work with most Carbonized versions of Mac applications.
