Recording Video

Recording video requires access to a digital camcorder, or even devices as inexpensive as a WebCam. When you record video, remember that these are typically large files, so you'll want a lot of free hard drive space to hold the video file. Recording video is fairly simple; all you really need to do is hook your digital camera, using a USB or FireWire port, to your computer. The iMovie application basically does the rest by detecting your camera, and showing you a preview of what the camera sees. Then you simply click the Record button, and it's on with the show.
