Setting QuickTime Options

The QuickTime pane in System Preferences affects the way your Macintosh plays back movies from the Internet using the QuickTime plug-in or from your local drive using QuickTime player. You can change Plug-In options to automatically play streaming video over the Internet, Connection options to adjust your connection speed, and Update options to make sure you have the latest version of the QuickTime software. The QuickTime pane also provides a music option to select a music synthesizer for playing back MIDI files, but you only have one choice. The Media Keys options provide special passwords for unlocking movies so you can watch them, but this feature is rarely used.
