Minor: impact of less than £40,000 or no reputational damage; Moderate: impact of between £40,000 and £200,000 or possible small amount of reputational damage; Significant: impact of between £200,000 and £1 million or moderate amount of reputational damage; Severe: impact of over £1 million or destructive reputational damage
Likelihood categories
Remote: less than 1 in 1,000 chance of occurring – not foreseeable within five years; Unlikely: less than 1 in 100 – could happen within five years; Possible: less than 1 in 10 – could happen within a year; Probable: less than 1 in 5 – imminent
