Chapter Seven. Low Light with Flash

Image

Whether shooting indoors or in the evening, low-light situations seem to be the rule rather than the exception. When you walk into a room to photograph an event or a wedding reception, you are almost certain to be walking into the dark. Event coordinators love candlelight and dim house lights to help create an ambiance within a space. Unfortunately, this doesn’t give us photographers much light to work with—unless we bring our own. With the proper flash and a few techniques, you’ll be able to overcome this lack of light to create captivating images in any kind of room.
