“Discipline 2: Conversation,” shows how the “posture of openness,” the “pursuit of diversity,” and the “practices of dialogue” make collaborative knowledge elicitation possible. Bringing a diverse, widened perspective to respectful interactions results in more generative conversation. That, in turn, helps us to generate more useful know-how. Conversation also fuels a lasting rapport between originators and brokers from which we all can benefit as we take on the task of putting know-how work.
