Microsoft has a website where it posts all of its detailed product information for IT Professionals. The site is called TechNet and the location is http://technet.microsoft.com. The content is technical, but if you know where to look, there is a wealth of information to be had.

SharePoint for IT Pros

This URL is the main landing page for all things SharePoint on TechNet. The en-US part means that this site is for English. If you view TechNet in a different language, then that language code would appear instead of en-US.

This main page is a great place to start. It includes quick start tiles for downloading SharePoint, training resources to get you up to speed, and resources to help you plan your deployment.
