Manage User Profiles

After a successful profile synchronization, it may be necessary to view and edit the resulting user profiles. This is commonly done to review and make temporary changes to profiles in between synchronizations. However, it may also be necessary to update profile properties that users should not be updating themselves.

Viewing Profiles and Editing a Profile

It is useful to be able to review the profiles after they have been imported and to be able to manually update the details in each profile.

To view and edit a profile, perform the following steps:

1. From SharePoint 2010 Central Administration, under Application Management, click Manage Service Applications.
