Sometimes, using the keyboard instead of the mouse is more effective, especially if the graphical designer of the page moved things around and you are not certain where on the page they are. Knowing the keyboard shortcuts can help you get to where you want faster.
Like the structure of this book, this appendix is split between shortcuts for readers that will be useful to anyone using a SharePoint site, and shortcuts for authors/editors that will be useful only if you are adding or editing content in a SharePoint site. Also, some of these shortcut combinations work in all pages, while others are unique to certain types of pages, so each section lists where the shortcuts can be used.
